This Privacy Policy describes how Waveform Systems LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), the developer of Mastery: AI Audio Coach, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS application. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Your email address and encrypted password, collected when you create an account via Firebase Authentication.
• Audio recordings: Audio files you record within the app, along with any metadata you choose to provide (piece title, composer/artist, notes).
• Recipient email addresses: When you use the Request Feedback feature, you provide the email address of a recipient (e.g. a teacher or coach). This address is used solely to deliver a one-time share link and is not stored beyond what is necessary to fulfill that request.
• Usage data: Anonymous crash reports and performance data to help us improve the app.
• Subscription status: Whether you are a free or paid subscriber, as confirmed by Apple. We do not collect or store payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: Your email and password are used solely to create and manage your account.
• AI analysis: When you request an analysis and provide your consent, your audio recording and any metadata you provided (title, artist, notes) are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate musical or speech feedback. This processing occurs on Google's servers. You will be asked for consent before your data is sent for the first time.
• Storage: Your recordings and analysis results are stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) and are accessible only to your account.
• App improvement: Anonymous usage and crash data help us identify and fix issues.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, cloud storage, and database. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini API — AI analysis of your audio recordings. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store — in-app purchase processing for Mastery: AI Audio Coach Pro subscriptions. See Apple Privacy Policy.
• SendGrid (Twilio Inc.) — transactional email delivery for the Request Feedback feature. Recipient email addresses are transmitted to SendGrid solely to deliver share links. See Twilio Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

4. In-App Purchases

Mastery: AI Audio Coach offers an optional paid subscription ("Mastery: AI Audio Coach Pro") processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. All billing is handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status from Apple.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data (recordings, analyses, and account information) at any time by contacting us at the email address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Security

We rely on industry-standard security provided by Google Firebase, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to your account only. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Mastery: AI Audio Coach is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
